Monika Arczynska won the third place in a Seminar competition at 2017 International Architecture Biennale in Cracow. She presented our model methodology of the designing of the urban spaces, based on a series of the design stages: the analysis of the user needs through observations, interviews and engagement in co-design at the early stage, the mobilization of a team work and generating the design solutions through workshops and testing the options with end-users before committing for the final product. In our work the last step is carried out via spatial models and urban prototypes. The development of the process was inspired by the concepts such as the Agile project management, which was adapted for the needs of urban design, and the tactical urbanism. This methodology was developed through a joint work with the Faculty of Architecture students and Gdansk University of Technology during the work in the Dluga Street and Gdynia Witomino projects.
