Urban Street as a Friendly Public Space
18 June 2017

On the 19th of June an expert seminar on streets as public spaces will take place at Gdańsk University of Technology, co-organised by A2P2. Quality of such spaces is currently often discussed in a public debate, also in the context of ‘woonerfs’ – pedestrian-and-bike priority streets with limited vehicular access. In such spaces pedestrians, cyclists and drivers co-exist and respect one another. Foreign and Polish examples prove that it is possible to create a street, which can be safe and pedestrian-friendly while maintaining its basic function – transportation.
