The book was dedicated to the cultural objects built in Poland in the first two decades of the 21st century – the period of the highest acceleration in construction of this type of buildings. The most representative examples were provided with the comments of architecture historians and critics. The book was published by the International Cultural Centre in Cracow, in two language versions – Polish and English. It was aimed to become a promotional material and a source of information about contemporary Polish architecture serving national and foreign institutions dealing with architecture, culture and research. Monika Arczyńska is the author of five texts about National Music Forum in Wrocław, European Solidarity Centre and Shakespearean Theatre in Gdańsk, Wyspiański Pavilion in Cracow and Masovian Centre for Contemporary Art ‘Elektrownia’ in Radom.
